Hi, I'm a new Member, just got delivery if my chicks yesterday and one arrived dead, 2 others were so weak they couldn't walk and died in a couple hours, so joined to be able to ask nervous new momma hen questions, lol

I am so sorry, very sad. I get nervous ordering chicks in the mail. Definitely contact the hatchery on this. And if it's really cold where you live, I'd have them ship when temps are more spring like.

Shipping chicks in extreme weather temperatures is always a risk. I'm sorry for your losses. I would request replacement chicks but wouldn't have them shipped until the weather warms up.
