Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.

Hi I am a new member who has been visiting this website for a few years. I currently have 6 hens in my backyard set-up of 2 French Copper Maran, 2 Ameraucanas, and 2 Buckeyes. They are a great flock and all get along great. They are all 4+ years old, but still lay about 6-7 eggs a week. I recently installed the Rentacoop drinking cups in the outdoor run. They have a 12 x 12 wire enclosed outdoor run attached to their 4 x 10 coop house. I have had back yard chickens for about 15 years. We will soon be installing an external egg box to open up more room in the coop. Also I have ordered 3 new chicks (1- Olive Egger, 1-French Copper Maran, and 1-ISA Brown) that arrive April 28th. They will be kept inside (garage)until they get a little older. I have an outdoor brooder box to keep them in when they get their feathers.
Welcome to BYC!!
