Hello, I am new to owning chickens but have always wanted them. I got chickens about a month ago, I started with 5, 3 hens and 2 roosters (1 rooster by accident) I currently have 6 hens, 2 roosters, 5 pullets, and 2 ducklings. I am rejoining one of my roosters because my main rooster is not having it. I have australorps, Sussex, Easter egger, Cochin, welsummer, Maran, and Wyandotte.
I love watching and interacting with them. Theur personalities are so interesting. Other than my chickens I love crafting.
I am a mother of 4 my children range from 28-15yrs old. I became a grandmother for the first time 5 weeks ago and loving every minute of it.
I found BYC on Pinterest when I was looking for ideas on a new and bigger coop. I’m thinking if using a plastic shed but need to figure out how to finish it out on the inside and attach it to the runI have.
Thank You for letting me be a part of this group and I look forward to learning so much more from all the expierenced chicken owners.

Welcome to BYC!!

I also have a Doberman, She is a 4 yr black/Rust Euro and her name is Athena. We recently lost our 11 yr old Dobie Sydney. I was raised with Dobie's and so we raised our children with them as well. Athena loves hanging out with the chickens, of course she never goes in the run but she has helped me herd them back in the run before.
Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
