Hi, My name is Heather and I am kinda new to chickens, kinda not.... I grew up with them, but wanted nothing to do with them.... Then last May my husband and I bought 12 Marnans.... They where doing great until we let them free range 1 day and the dogs killed 1.... So then They couldn't any longer..... Now mind you I have little dogs but they wanted to play.... So anyway, I started talking on Backyard chickens Facebook group and became friends with a girl that gave me 2 Islandics 1 hen and a Roo, and I have 1 baby silkie, and a silkie/Old English mix, and tomorrow I will be picking up a silkie/Old English mix that needs a wheelchair so she will be my house chicken
