I put a bigger down payment on the house, then I don't have to have my taxes in the mortgage so I don't pay interest on my taxes

This is the sort of thing it took me FOREVER to learn, and really improved our relationship when I did. I was raised to think of it as "needy" or "clingy" so I always resisted. Hubby finally told me that he felt like he didnt mean much to me since I never did those things. Was a complete jaw drop moment!

Yeah my DH needs lots of thank you and kudos. I try to make a habit of giving hugs and kisses. He does do a lot for us. I appreciate it all.
My way of showing care is picking up stuff I know he likes or if I see stuff on sale I know he likes I will stock up. We certainly have different love languages

Not really but we finally found out my BIL is in recovery. It was a nine hour surgery

according to the radio today we had "frizzle" aka freezing drizzle. Roads were a skating rink, Then it got really warm. Only snow left from this weekend is where they piled it while plowing. I haven't had the time or heart to see if the basement is flooding.

When I make shepherd's pie I do a layer of hamburger meat seasoned with salt and pepper, a layer of corn, and a layer of mashed potatoes. You could use instant potatoes just fine. If you have cheese some people like that on top to

that's what I do as well only use creamed corn.
