Hello and Welcome to BYC! Thanks for joining us. I don't think you will have trouble keeping them warm if they are fully feathered out and can be kept from drafts. Can you describe you hens or maybe better yet take a snapshot of them and post here this time for us. There is a thread for questions about sex and breed.

Hi Kellie, I just moved from WY in 2022 and can tell you with a well ventilated coop the flock should do just fine. I did partially wrap the run in heavy duty plastic so the birds could be out in it without wind and snow blowing on them constantly. You might want to check in on the WY state thread to ask others for tips: Wyoming

Best wishes!

Hi everyone, glad I found this site. I am new to raising chickens. And have a tone of questions. We live in Wyoming and am concerned about keeping our chickens warm during the winter. We have egg layers. Breed??? Umm I for the life of me can not remember :hmm

Thank you in advance
Kellie
