I lost 2 of my 5 month olds this month, so I'll be compiling a post on that. And I have 1 chicken inside that has a limp, but her issues seem opposite of my other 2. I'm hoping she just hurt her leg.
5 months old? That's so sad. So sorry!

For the one with the limp, I'd soak that one's legs in Epson salt and take a peek to see if there's anything on the bottom of the foot like a black scab. The soak might make it feel better too if it's just a sprain or muscle injury.

I have checked her entire leg and foot and she's had 1 epsom salt soak. She doesn't like me touching her thigh area, which I can't even splint. Idk if it's joint pain or a break, or vitamins. Been 10 days and she's eating great and hopping on one leg to where she wants to be. I have her inside a hospital bin so she does hop too much.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Your flock is gorgeous in your photos 💖 thanks for sharing!

How high is your roost bar? Birds can easily pull tendons or sprain legs jumping or flying down from high roost bars. If she is a heavy breed, the roost bar should be only a foot or so off the floor. Best wishes for your entire flock! :hugs
