Greetings from Louisiana! I'm about a year into our family's chicken journey. We have 8 girls in our laying flock. A mix of Plymouth rocks, Americana, leghorns and New Hampshires. We have recently add silkies to our family as well. We got all chicks and now have turned out with 4 roosters and 2 hens. We will be trying to breed those silkie hens soon. Just have to decide which rooster will be the lucky man. I'm so glad there is such a welcoming and informative group such as this one, out there!
