Hi everyone. We live in Utah. We had 7 hens until raccoons moved into the neighborhood. I am building a raccoon-proof coop and have 6 new chicks, two Sapphire Olive Eggers, two Speckled Sussex, and two Rhode Island Reds.

Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
Sorry for your losses. Make sure you don't use any chicken wire in the build. Use 1/2" hardware cloth, very securely attached with either 3/4" poultry staples or screws with fender washers. Or you can staple it with a pneumatic stapler and then screw boards over the attachment points to properly secure the hardware cloth.
