Hello! I am a chicken owner with a current flock of 10 chickens and 2 ducks, I started 1 year ago with my oldest chickens now 1 years old. Good layers, I live in a rural desert environment which has been challenging when summer hits 116 to 120, I try to keep a low budget flock and have the concept of keeping birds until they are done laying then using for meat. They are not free range but I let them out as much as I can to let them stretch their wings so to speak. I am learning and doing my best to keep the birds healthy and happy. Signed up to asknparticular questions regarding chickens in the flock.
