New member long time raising chickens I live in Texas, currently have 9 hens and 2 roosters, 1 rooster and 2 of the hens are from a hen that decided to brood in November, so I let her, got 5 out of 8 eggs once the first chick hatched my hen(first time setting) was ready to be mamma so I had to get the incubator and hatch the rest , then came the young Hawk an got a few in the last month. Now I only let them out of coop for a few hrs in the evening so I came keep watch. will post pictures of flock at a later date.

So sorry for your losses.

Maybe sometime you can make them a run with poultry/bird netting on top. I know some use electrified netting too.
