I'd soak the foot in warm Epsom salt water for about 15-20 minutes. That area maybe got infected or part of the sliver is still in there. After you've soaked it, you can inspect it better to see if it's that or something else. I'd post this in the ER forum though that @N F C linked above for you. I hope she gets better!
 
New member here, I have 30 chickens, mixed bag of mostly laying chickens. Some Rhode Island reds, americanas and a bunch of beautiful chickens that I have no idea that they are and one tiny banty rooster for entertainment. I do have an issue with my favorite chicken she has a swollen what I would call a knee and limps. I got her about 4 months ago full grown shes limped since I got her no bumblefoot, had some sort of sliver in her foot which i removed maybe 3 weeks ago no infection or anything on foot. any ideas on what to do would be greatly appreciated
