Hi everyone!
I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself. Here are my answers to the following questions:
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've been a chicken tender for three years now, and I learn new things all the time! I would never have thought I would love these feathered cuties as much as I do! I am so happy and thankful that I have them.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have around forty currently!
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have Olive Egger, Easter Egger, Silkies, Ayam Cemanis, Marans, Light and Buff Brahmas, Swedish Flowers, Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Tolbunt and Golden Laced Polish.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
All of it!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love baking and cooking!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have been married for 17 years now and we have three beautiful kiddos! We also have two dogs, a cat, and four rabbits. One of our chickens is a crossbeak and he is an indoor chicken, named Snik. We love him so much!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've known about BYC for several years now, but finally took the plunge and joined today. Just about any time I would Google a chicken question I had, someone else had the same question, and I found my answer here. This forum is incredibly helpful! I very happy to be here!
