Hi edgeside homestead here. After 5 years of searching threads, ive finally decided to join. We have a small homestead with about 90 chickens currently, consisting of New Hampshires, Blue Barnevelders, Barred Plymouth Rocks, and Buff Laced Polish. No mixed breeding done here. We also have a flock of Pekin Ducks and some Juliana Pigs. Happy to be here and would like to help others learn about breeding and learn some things we might not know about yet we've been breeding chickens for about 3 1/2 years and absolutely love it. Thanks again backyard chicken for having us!

Thanks and it is about an hour of chores everyday sometimes a bit longer when it's really hot!! Luckily it's been a mild summer so far..

That`s not bad! It takes me about that long and we only have 23 birds. I tend to be a bit OCD about things though lol! Good you are having a mild summer it has been very hot and humid here in N.E. Indiana. Enjoy yourself here it really is a great place!
