Hello, I am a new member from California. New to chickens, have ducks.

Picked up 9 chicks this spring and have 8
1 - Delaware
1 - Mille Fleur
2 - Salmon Faverolles
2 - Rhode Island Reds
3 - Wyandottes, one rooster so he was re-homed. -1

My 3 ducks, are 11 years old and no longer laying. As much as I love my ducks, they turn every spot of water, no matter how small, into a huge bog! Hence, the switch to chickens.

We also have 2 dogs, 3 ducks, 7 koi, 3 hermit crabs, 4 dwarf African frogs, and 2 loaches.

I’m currently on egg watch, looking forward to having my grandson harvest his first eggs.
