They all stay to 1 side huddled together. We are currently looking for a larger coop. But they are very very close loving chicks

Have your daughter help you build a coop! :) Here's our Coop Forum with tons of coops our members built. Some are pretty easy and spelled out. Chickens need 4 square feet a piece inside of a coop.

When you get there, on the left is an index. You'll see the Learning Center there. Lots of helpful articles are in there too about raising chickens.

They are not sexually mature yet. Trust us when we say that their personalities change dramatically when they hit sexual maturity. There is no worst time for a flock of chickens than when they go to roost in a coop. And when it is that small it's going to be ugly.

Have you considered converting a shed into your new coop? That is the biggest bang for your buck and will get you to the finish line much faster than trying to build from scratch.
