Hello all,
New member from Germany here
Thought I should introduce myself.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Our family had chickens when I was 3-5 years old back in Italy...we then moved to Germany and had chickens on and off for a few years
Finally decided to get new ones about two years ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have eight hens. But I have reserved some Serama and green Silkie eggs.
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Sussex, 1 Königsberger (German breed I think ), 1 green egger, 1 Orpington, 1 Marans, 1 bantam silkie, 1 bantam Cochin, 1 antwerp bantam.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their silly antics and of course the eggs they produce!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Photography, tropical plants, friends, family.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Im in purchasing at a company that sells urban furniture and products for tree root systems etc.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've been a silent reader for a while and though I might as well join properly
