Hi Everyone.....I'm 46 yr old mother of 2 grown children. Nana of 2 grandchild and I FINALLY got chickens. I've been wanting them for a LONG>>>LONG time.
I bought 5 pullets...1 straight run...which I hope is rooster. 1 mallard duck...1 white duck.
MY husband has put up with alot in the last 30yrs....he always has the fear I'll bring something home with a heart beat
...which I did on Good Friday. The chickens were in my wash room are two weeks....STINKY!
For the last 2 week my husband has been building me an amazing coop with a enclosed run. I googled chicken info and found this site.......and honest to goodness it's been a life saver. We have gotten SO much wonderful information and ideas for our coop construction and I'm trying to learn the how to's with raising chicken. I love this site!!
1 husband, 2 children, 2 grandchildren, 7 dogs, 1 african gray parrot, 6 chickens, 2 ducks......all in the mountains of south western Virginia.
