Hello,
I just started my flock 2 weeks ago w/a Silkie pair, a 3 month old Maran, 2 Rhode Island Reds and a Barred Rock. So far, so good. Very grateful to have a forum where I can read about others' chicken-raising experiences.

Hi. I got my first flock of 10 chickens and one roo 6 weeks ago. Turned out to be all chickens and no roo. So now I have 11 girls and just bought a new Cuckoo Maran roo last week. He is 18 wks old. I am getting lots of good support from BYC. I have learned so much. Welcome...
