I started with my small flock this past June with 2 barred rocks, and 1 astralorp. In addition to those I now have 2 rhode island reds and 4 golden laced wyadottes. I love them all very much. BYC has been so helpful for me starting out. I have a health question though. My barred rock rooster, now about 4 1/2 months old, started with blood in his stools a week ago. He still seems active, ranging around the yard, eating, coming up on the porch for his morning hello. I am worried about him. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Welcome from an imp in Washington

You joined a great site.

And Oregon Chicken Gal is correct. Blood in the poop can mean Cocci.
