Hi everyone!! I am a new member from South Arkansas. I have been hatching, raising, breeding, feeding and loving chickens for years. My husband built me a homemade very large incubator for Christmas many years ago. (He did it so I would stop wanting more Kids) ever since then I have been hatching turkeys, guineas, ducks, chickens and brooding them in my big garden tub!!! He might regret building the incubator by now, you think!!
My husband and I raised 3 kids who are on their own now and have 1 daughter (11) left at home and we homeschool. I work part-time at a rural hospital and guess what --I birth babies!!!! I have mainly raised chickens for egg production for family and friends but my daughter has recently became interested in showing chickens though the local 4-H . We have a lot to learn!! We have 2 pair of almost show quality birds to start with--- 1 pair of black-tail white Japanese bantams and 1 pair of light brahma bantams. We are very active in 2 -4-H clubs and various other "social" activities.
