Hi there, my name is Lori and I am from lewiston Michigan. Igrew up with all kinds of chickens, guineas, peafowl, pigeons and turkeys. I have been away from the for a very long time and decided to stay connected with my 15 year old daughter who has been wanting chickens for a long time. We got her 8 for Easter and began to build a coop the week after. It has become a family project that is fun and keeps us connected. My husband became interested as well.
It is mostly a hobby but will be looking forward to egg production and my hubby wants to raise for meat as well ( I get so attatched so this will be a challenge for me. I plan to post pictures of our coop and chicks to share soon!
