Hey Y'all from SC! I've visited the site often but just got around to joining.

I'm hoping to have chickens in the near future and possibly a goat. I've read pros and cons to keeping chickens/goats together. Any advice?

Other than the fact that I have NO building skills whatsoever (increases the start-up price), I'm thinking through what to do when the chickens quit laying eggs. I simply cannot imagine giving them to someone to eat, and I don't have a clue if it's possible to just keep the ol' girls as long as they live.

Hi I was the same way!!! I finally joined!!!
I have 5 Belgian D'uccle Mille Fleurs!!! I wish I could have other live stock but I can't.
Chickens are great and such wonderful personalities. I love getting eggs and watching them. I do plan on keeping them even if they stop laying. I just like to have them around! I hope to increase my flock soon!!!
