I Stumbled on to this amazing site when I googgled what temp to keep my babies at. I have 13 big Girls & 3 roosters & just purchased 12 babies. My Ladies or just starting to lay! I have 9 different breeds of chickens. So I like color. Just started about 6 months ago raising them & I have falling in love. I first bought them to help out with the horses ( keep the bugs down in the pasture), Yes I have 2 horses, 3 cats & 2 dogs & everyone gets along no chasing each other. Thank you! I do have fun here in the state of Louisiana with it's crazy weather. We just came out of a 3 week's of rain everyday. My chickens needed rain gear, and were also suffering from cabin fever. But I am really amazed by this site I have learned so much, and now I have another list of thing to do to make the Hen Hotel better safer & more hen friendly.
