(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I have been wanting chickens for about 6 yrs now and a local farm store ran an add on TV. I had just received my income tax refund and decided now is the time to take the plunge.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? My plan was to pick up four layers, but I came home with 8. They are sooo cute(3) What breeds do you have? According the the store worker, I have 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Rhode Island Reds, a Red Sex Link, a Black Sex Links, a New Hampshire Red, and I cant remember the other but it was a rainbow layer. Im hoping they are all hens
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? I came across the website when searching for chicken houses.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? My other hobbies include sewing and crocheting.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have two dogs, one lab and the other a rescued mut. I work as a church secretary and also a field rep for the US Census Bureau. I have one granddaughter, 3 daughters, 1 son-n-law and a son-n-law in waiting lol.
