Hi,
My name is Gene and I live in Lake Charles, LA. I am new to chickens but in the past have hatched and raised pheasant, quail, ducks, emu and have raised numerous other types of animals. At the time I do not have any chickens yet, but have 40 silkie eggs I ordered in the incubator for about a week. I am looking at trying to raise silkies, frizzles and sizzles to start.
Some of my other hobbies are fishing, camping, rock and gem cutting, raising parrots, and pretty much any other thing to occupy my free time. I work as a maintenance supervisor at the local casino, so as you can see I do not have much free time left I can fill. LOL.
Anyway just wanted to say HI to all from south Louisiana.
