Hi my names Karen, I have 9 lovely ladies in my garden and have 11 beautiful baby chicks which I hatched out 10 days ago using an incubator.i must admit I was a bit disappointed as I had an assortment of 24 eggs that I got from eBay a lot of them weren't fertilised so I'm getting ready to do some more. When I was a little girl my parents hatched geese, chicken and ducks and this is the first time on my own so to speak but we have really enjoyed every bit of it!! Very addictive!!

! Pleased you joined! Actually, the success rate for hatching eggs sent through the mail is notoriously low so 9 out of 24 is really quite good. The unhatched may have been fertile but were jostled too much in transit. Good luck to you in all your poultry endeavors!!

Greetings from maine and welcome. Shipping eggs thro the mail is always a risk that we all take. I ship worldwide and it all depends on the postal service used as to the hatch rate. i get good hatch rates outa mine but i do use overnight mail for all my mailings. But with a mailing set a low hatch rate can be expected sometimes. not always but it dose happen. AS always ask all the questions you need to before buying eggs to ship as you want to know everything. Well again welcome and hope you have a fun time here
