Hello all, my name is Austin and I live in SW Washington. I decide last spring that it was time I knew what was going into the eggs I consume, so my family and I purchased 7 day old chicks. We bought 4 Americaunas, a Rhode island red, black australorp and one other. Now that they are 6 months we have found that one of our Americaunas is a rooster, not so good considering we live in town close to neighbors. I am new to owning chickens, so I hope to learn from all of you

Great to have you here!
That's a shame about getting a rooster. Our neighbours accidentally got one, a charming little chook but they had to give him away in the end.
