Welcome to BYC. It's a good thing that you have done for those hens. They are so bedraggled and feather pecked that it is hard to tell their breed.

I could easily have got 7 myself, I wanted to take all of them. Are they happy and healthy these days amongst the flock?

Mine are doing great. I have had them for 3 years now. They will be 6 years old some time in the Spring. They are New Hampshire Red's, Buff Orpington's and Rhode Island Red's. They are very happy with their new lives. Sadly I think I may lose three of them this winter. They have become very week due to old age, and I'm not sure how the cold will treat them. I'm hoping for the best though.

They are more colourful, and they are sprouting new feathers on their necks.
