Hi, there! I'm a brand new member, though I have been checking out the site and liked the fb page before now. I grew up with chickens on my parents subsistence farm in Arkansas. I now own six issa browns myself. They are great egg producers and that was the main reason I wanted chickens in the first place. However, I found that I really enjoy them and I might just get some more that aren't necessarily egg producers, or maybe start a small hatchery for the issa browns. They're not very prevalent in my area, but they produce about three hundred eggs a year per chicken. Can't wait to get to know you and learn as much as I can or even give a little knowledge myself.
