I have been browsing bc for over a year and decided to join. I always found the information helpful when I was strarting out and still come to the website for information. I have had for over a year 5 pekins, 2 mallards, 1 mallard/pekin cross and one white silkie. In the past month I have added 6 moyers, 2 black sex links and 6 plymouth barred rocks. I am in the "introduction" phase for the Moyers and the PBR are still in the shed, they are 3 weeks old. I have duck eggs in the incubator that should hatch today. I look forward to reading more on the site.

Welcome to BYC!

You have quite a nice flock! This is the place to be when you own poultry. :)

So pull up a roost bar and welcome to our flock!

I am new to raising chickens, and I'm absolutely loving it! I have 4 Rhode Island pullets, 6 brahmas, and I was told when purchasing my last 6 chicks that they were plymouth rocks, but after searching information online they may be longhorns :/

I don't think it looks like a PBR but I'm not an expert. It kind of looks similar to my black sex links which is a mix of a Rhode Island Red and a Plymouth Barred Rock. Yours looks like it has more brown then my do.

Thanks. I am getting a little worried, 28 days was yesterday. They are chirping and have pipped but I figured they would have started busting loose this morning.
