Did they say "Red stars" in regard to replacing the Cornish x? Reds are a production breed that lays a lot of eggs. In any case you might want to return yours so you don't have to process them or watch them die on their own.

Try to pin them down to PULLETS, I don't think you would want to exchange for straight run which usually means mostly boys.
 
They said they were Rhode Island Reds. I didn't actually talk to them. My husband did. I will try to attach picture of them to see if you agree.

Hi! Welcome to BYC! Where are you in GA, or are you in GA?

Those chicks have too much white to be RIRs. They could be red sex links or hatchery production reds. I've had both hatchery RIRs and old line heritage RIRs and they never have white on them like that.

Well that's great! TSC told me wrong again!? Grrrr. As long as they are not meat birds again I will be happy! I can already tell they do not eat and poop near as much. I am in Georgia near Tifton. Looks like you are in North Georgia Mountains! Lucky you! Beautiful up there!
