Thanks for the warm welcome. I enjoy my small [3 hens 1 rooster] a lot and plan to add a fence around the fruit trees in my yard. I suppose that they'll get a good chance to get at some bugs. I'll have to build it like Fort Knox,as the coop backs up to a large wooded area. I once had about 200 chickens and even though I built a secure,large coop,a Jacarunda or bobcat ripped open the HD hardware cloth. Almost all were ripped to pieces,but I saved about 30. I don't want this to happen,even though I've moved 1100 miles from the Tx-Mexico border,and there are few such large predators here. Lha
