There are many dedicated silkie threads on BYC, the longest is 'SILKIE THREAD,' if you put that in the search box, it should pop up. There are generally several silkie(for sale) ads in the BYC buy,sell,trade forum but, you need 20 posts to participate. You could just lurk for now and get a feel for what is offered and prices.

If you want Show silkies please buy from established breeders - not someone that' just happens' to have a hen and chicks. No responsible breeder would sell you baby chicks as show quality. Silkies are even very difficult to sex before 4-5 mos. of age. Anything you buy sooner will probably end up crowing.
