Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I am in western North Carolina and have had backyard birds for several years. recently I just bought a trio of olive eggers. I have had them for a little over a month now. I have several eggs in the incubator (first time) and the hen is sitting on many more. The bator eggs are due to start hatching in a few days. Tomorrow is day 18, lock down, and I am getting pretty excited. I hope that I get a few from this hatch. Since it is my first time experiencing incubator hatching, I am afraid I may not get all I want but look forward to getting some. Any advise would be appreciated. I am going to start reading forums.....

Welcome to BYC!

Good luck with the hatch! Make sure to get your humidity up to 65% or 70% and open all vents wide open. When they pip, they can sit there for 24+ hours. They are busy absorbing the last of the yolk and detaching from the inside of the egg. So don't think they are stuck and need to bust them out.

Sounds like you have a nice flock and a busy farm! I hope the incubator hatch and the broody hatch goes well and welcome to our flock!

Hi and welcome! I'm from eastern NC. Good luck with your hatch and keep us updated.

Welcome to the site. I do not have any experience with hatching eggs, but there are plenty of members on here who can help you. Good luck!
