Thought I would come back and add the pictures of the flock and add our new member BG-Blue Marans around 20 weeks we think Ms Cleo-Easter Egger 12 weeks Felony-Barred Rock 12 weeks Mouth-We aren't sure what she is 12 weeks old Peep-Blue Showgirl 13/14 weeks old Yetti-White Silkie 13/14 weeks old and last weekend we added this girl/guy Tolbunt Frizzle Polish-it is still waiting on a name (UPDATE: chickens name is Cornbread, we let the neighbor name it) 6/8 weeks old

What great pictures! We're new members to BYC too. You are certainly not alone in crying over a lost chick. Over the years we've shed many a tear for our fallen girls (and guys). One of the hardest was a couple of weeks ago. We hatched out our first poults and one of the three began to fade a day or so later. We did everything we could and then I sat in my rocking chair with it and held it gently until it was gone. I'm a lot tougher than I once was, but how can you not cry when they are so small and precious?

I showed your pictures to my husband and he really liked your new arrival. What a cute little mop head!
