Hi I am from Australia I have 4 chickens and 5 Pekin Ducks. One of my ducks is from 2 of my ducks that was kicked out of the nest. I hand raised him and she has imprinted on me. We have tried to reintroduce him back to the other 4 ducks and they keep attacking him violently. She is content to hang out with chickens but it means we can't have all the animals out at once. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

So, the question is, how much space do you have?? Is it possible to fence an area for the ducks and one for the chickens (+ duck) so that they can see each other but not touch? How old are your birds? It's possible they may grow to tolerate each other eventually, only time will tell, good luck & keep us posted,

Yes we have done that and the first thing the older ducks do is run up to her cage. Our oldest ducks are about 16 months old and our baby is about 5 months old. We are going to try putting some straw from the older ducks house into the younger duck area. We have our house yard of an acre an a half for them to play in. At the moment we are alternating days and have made separate run. Thank you for replying and I will keep you posted
