Hello! My names Krystal and over the past about 2 years, I always found myself referring to this site for answers actually. It's funny I just finally joined today. But I also have a problem which I wasn't sure what to do about which I posted in the Emergencies/Injuries forum. Anyway, I love chickens. I always have since a very young age when my first chicken was introduced to me at 3 years old. At the time I have 8 Sebright Bantams, 3 white Cornish, 3 black ameraucanaa, 4 golden comets, and one Rhode Island red. I'm excited to join the community here!

Glad you joined us, Krystal!

Feel free to post any questions you may have.

Welcome to BYC, Krystal. Glad you decided join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining.) You have a nice mixed breed flock. Golden Comet is one of a number of labels under which some hatcheries market their Red Sex Links, which are laying machines. You should get loads of large, brown eggs from those four ladies.) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

The comets are very nice birds so far! I'm still waiting for my first egg, they're about 19 weeks old now. I'm excited!
