Hi I am a new member I have two pekin chickens one doesn't stop squawking anyone know reason please help aileen
 


Hi, Aileen, glad you've joined BYC.
There are a lot of reasons a chicken might be particularly boisterous - if you tell us a bit more about your birds and your situation we may be able to help you pinpoint what is causing your bird to be so loud.

How old are your birds?
How long have you had them?
What gender is each bird-- especially the loud one?
Are there particular times of day when your bird is more loud than others - what is generally going on at those times (not just with the chickens, but around them)?
What sort of setup are you keeping the birds in?

Hi thankyou for your reply I have had my two clucks from 3 weeks old they will be 12 months in june they are both hens I get an egg every other day they are kept in our backyard in purpose built coop with run under neith and nest box which has secure lock to prevent predators they have full range of back yard to roam all day they have wide range of greens and pellets the loud one squarks all day especially early morning there are dogs which bark repeatedly please advise me aileen
