Hello from Sioux Falls, SD! I'm a newbie chicken owner. I have 6 chicks (5 1/2 weeks old) - 3 Buff Orpingtons and 3 Rhode Island Reds. One of my chicks has shown his true identity as a rooster. Help! I must re-home the handsome Orpington swiftly as roosters are not allowed in city limits. I've shared the offer on social media but have not found a home yet. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome to BYC. Call your local feed stores and see if they'll take your cockerel or if they know someone that will.

As for your rooster, I sell my chicks by posting on Craigslist/Iwanna/and putting flyers up in feed stores, and other places people who want chickens might go. Seems pretty successful so far. Good luck finding your boy a new home!
