You have a nice mix of breeds. Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter) made lap pets of them, and excellent layers of large, brown eggs.

If you scroll up to the top of this page there should be box that says "Start a new thread" click on that and you will be able to start a new thread here in the new members section. If you would like to start a thread in another section of the forum at the top of here again there is a tab "Forum" lots of different sections and sub sections for your questions. Again box with "Start a new thread"
 
Need help! I have 2 heritage Rhode Island hens that are 10 months or older. They are not laying! What do we do? I also have 2 sexlinks that are younger and they are laying good. I also have 2 Rhode Island reds that are over a year old one is laying good the other once in a while like every couple of days. I also have a RIR that is about 10-11 months and laying good. We feed them laying pellets in feeders. We also give them scratch broadcasted in the yard every other day and give them meal worms once in a while. We feed them fresh mustard greens from our garden, which they love! Will the 2 heritage rhode islands ever start laying? R we doing anything wrong? Is there something we can do?

I have Speckled Sussex in my mixed flock and really like them...sweet tempered girls.
