We are new to chickens having just moved in May to a small community in south central Nebraska from Omaha. I LOVE having chickens and guineas and we are just starting to have walnut sized eggs it is so exciting! Also have bunnies, dog, and cats. We had two large gardens and sold for the first time at the Farmer's Market. I am learning about root celars and tucked away lots of fresh foods. I was made for country life!! We have 2 kids I homeschool and are always looking for ways to save a little money on our nearly single income. I would love to have a dairy goat but do not like being tied down that much.
I am very excited to find backyard chickens and already made my own waterers and soon to make some feeders.
