Hey all, I'm a fairly new chicken owner from SE Michigan. My mom and I started raising chickens this past summer. Our flock is still small (only 4 hens) and it is a mixed flock. We have raised them from chicks, so they are our babies. We have an Australorp, a Silkie-Polish cross, a Cochin, and an Easter Egger. I love hearing from other flock owners about their birds and experiences! Any information regarding providing the best care to my gals is valuable to me. We are looking to expand our flock eventually. I'm expecting a baby this summer, so we probably won't be raising chicks, but if anyone needs to rehome any of their hens we would probably be able to take them. We can't take roosters due to an ordinance against them in our town, sorry!
