Hello from the Florida panhandle! The DH and I just moved back to his home town and are the proud (and slightly uneducated) parents of our very own chickens. This is our first time having chickens our own but close family members have always have some on hand. Our coop is a work in progress. We are fixing the MIL old and slightly rundown coop. Things are coming along in the process. We spent the afternoon trying to catch the Game... Talk about an act of futility... Lol! We were told that if we wanted to get a JG rooster that we would have to get rid of the Game. That's ok with me because the Game roosts in a Loquat tree outside of my bedroom window. He crows every morning between 1AM and 5AM. Yep... It is a fun as it sounds. LOL.
