Just let my hen hatch 10 babies. Had no clue all would hatch! Needless to say, I kept 4. They are almost 10 weeks old
Momma has gone back to the flock...they all free range. She and the other hens have are keeping them from the flock! At night I have to fight the hens to let babies in the coop, or even let them have treats! They peck at them ...even momma! What do I do?! I am constantly fighting for them!

Ten weeks old is old enough to begin to make their own way in the pecking order. Are they still using their baby chick voice, cheeping, or have they begun to vocalize like adults? Once they are sounding like adults, in my experience, they will all get along better. My suggestion is to keep an eye on things, but try not to overly intervene, as long as they all get cooped up at night, and you are sure the little guys are getting enough food.

When I let a broody hatch chicks, I keep the broody hen in the coop in a large dog crate with her chicks. On day 3 I open the gate and Mama takes them out when she is ready, and she shows them how to forage, find, water, and lets all the others know to back off and stay away from her chicks. Within 2 weeks, the chicks are usually members of the flock. That came in handy once when my broody hen decided to quit her chicks after 2 weeks, and they completely raised themselves in a large flock. They all slept in 1 nest box until they were too big, then all 6 slept on the roost together at night.

Since your broody, I think was separated with her chicks until now, you will need to start slowly introducing them across some fencing where they can see each other, but no one gets hurt. There will be some pecking when they are first put together, and I would have some supervised visits to make sure they are getting along. They may need some hiding places inside the coop. Make sure that you have plenty of room in your coop and run.

Ohhh, right, absolutely! I didn’t get the part of how the chicks had been separated from the rest of the flock all this time. I wholeheartedly agree.

Can you build another coop?

this is the same thing I'm worried about. I just got three 1 day old chicks. How can I integrate the chicks with my hen? how long should I wait? I know to add them to her coop at night when shes roosting but do they need to be a few weeks old before i do that? do i need to put them in a cage so she can get used to them first? @Eggcessive @Brahma Chicken5000 @Kiki
Sorry, I don't play the integration game.
Good luck.
