I would try putting it with your nice broody hen, I don't think chickens have a sense of smell, so wouldn't recognize their own eggs. Her chicks are already hatching, so this would just be one more. The way I look at it, the poor thing was already compromised having the shell cracked but, this may help it hatch out.
 
I was advised to finish taking the shell off and wait and see if it comes alive. That's what I did. I put another egg that was starting to peep out with her last night and she rejected it. :( It was dead this morning. The one I peeled out of its shell is under a warm light now so I guess we will see. It peeped a few times as I was taking it out and now its quiet. OMG so traumatic! I feel so bad. Live and learn I guess. Will let you know how it goes.
