Hello all, my husband and I decided we wanted to get some chickens (again). We talked my mother into getting some awhile back but she took care of them and ended up having to give them up because her lab kept eating them. We have 1 black sex link, 1 red sex link, 2 golden sex links, 1 bars rock, 1 mottled Java, 1 Ameraucana and 1 cuckoo maran. Honestly we only wanted 4 ladies. But we read you should get 25 percent more to make up for losses, I'm not sure if that's true?, and we ended up doubling what we intended. You could call it chick fever lol. Anyhoo, considering all of my girls are pretty much different, will they coincide together?

Glad you could join us here! What wonderful news that you have started out with chickens again. What a shame your mothers were eaten. I see no reason why all your birds cannot get along, many people have mixed flocks and do great. Just watch them to see how the pecking order sorts it's self out.
