So this apparently seems to be the problem. The Muskovey hen I adopted from my neighbor, Cheesy, was given to them with a sibling who died after about a month. Her only exposure has been with humans. I decided to adopt another hen so she wouldn’t be alone. It has been a week and they seem to get along but Cheesy doesn’t know how to interact with the new hen. Any suggestions?Welcome to BYC. Introduce them to one another on neutral ground. The 3 year old hen may be human imprinted and not even know that she is a duck.
