New Neighbor

So, is it true that Bobcats keep coyotes away? I never heard that. We have huge bobcat that lives on or around my folks ranch. We have seen him a couple of times (once in the early morning and once a dusk). The last several times I was there it seemed that I didn't hear the coyotes. I wonder if "Bob" is the reason.

I had a bob cat in my front yard once. My neighbor asked me if I had a new cat {she thought he was a dom. cat}and when I turned around he was high tailing it back down to the tree line by the creek. Have'nt seen him since. Though he was beautiful. Other neighbor has seen him twice and one time he was not alone but had another bob cat with him/her. Beautiful animals but really don't want them in my front yard. Glad I don't have small children or I would of been very nervous.

It looks like it came up to drink water from that puddle. I'm in rural iowa and bob cats are here too, but i've never seen one that bold. Be careful, that animal may be so brazen because it's not well.
