New neighbors/subdevelopments complaining about farm life? Link fixed

Creative guy, that farmer. I lived near there way back when. The beautiful cow pasture with the Wasatch mtns in the background that was across the street from my house on the corner is now full of mini-mall garbage. I can see it on Google Earth. It saddens me to no end.

I like this. I would have thought those new neighbors bought the houses just to be near his place. I would have,,,I love the country and do not like city folk moving out here and complaining-wanting to change things. Hayfields, cows, horses, and chickens is the only way for me.

I worked in corporate aviation at an airport in New York for 17 years. It was originally built out in the sticks of New York City before World War II. No noise problems back then.

But the NYC suburbs closed in, and suddenly there was a noise problem. During the time I worked there, a condo/golf development was built directly under an incoming flight path to one of the most-used runways. The real estate agents would only show in the area around mid-day when the airport traffic was at a lull.

Huge noise abatement office, millions of dollars spent on researching and fighting aircraft noise. Dumb.

Yep, it's happening here too. In another 5 to 10 years I will have a new development with 6 houses per acre attached to my backyard. I hope to heck they try to buy my property so I can get out of here or I'm sure I'm going to have to go to court to keep my animals.
